Alfonso Albacete
"El mar de la China"
Fernando Castro Florez

"Mar de la China" is an exhibition by Alfonso Albacete which adapts to the pictorial framework the vision of nature from a zenithal point of view.
In the words of Fernando Castro, the curator of this exhibition, "the pictorial landscape of Albacete is permanently tense between figuration and abstraction, in the plen air look and the dissolution of the figurative motif in a kind of Baroque abstraction as practiced in the nineties".
In addition to this renewed vision of plen air, Alfonso Albacete shows interest in pure colors, being, in most cases, a dialogue between two complementary colors. This gives the collection "Mar de la China" as one of the most visual and impressive shows of the Ana Serratosa Gallery.
