¿Qué es Charlemos de Arte? – Acercándonos a públicos más jóvenes / What is Art Talk? - Approaching younger audiences

Desde la Galería de arte contemporáneo en Valencia Ana Serratosa, somos conscientes de que el arte, y especialmente el contemporáneo, es de difícil acceso para un público más generalista, pero ya si nos concentramos en un público más joven, la distancia es mayor.

Las nuevas generaciones se han desarrollado y han crecido rodeados de tecnología, en un mundo cambiante, y distanciándose cada vez más de los museos y las salas expositivas. ¿Por qué habría de acercarme a visitar un museo cuando puedo disfrutar de todo el contenido que me interesa desde la pantalla de mi móvil? ¿Por qué habría de buscar inspiración en una galería cuando puedo hacerlo de una manera mucho más rápida desde la tranquilidad de mi ordenador?

Esta serie de pensamientos, unido al ritmo frenético de la sociedad actual, junto al elitismo que se suele asociar a la cultura, hace que las nuevas generaciones tomen cada vez más distancia respecto a los artistas actuales, aquellos que siguen apostando por las galerías, y que se sientan más cómodos siguiendo a artistas digitales o musicales desde la comodidad de un mundo digital creado a su propio gusto.

Es por ello que desde la Galería Ana Serratosa nos hemos propuesto llevar a cabo una serie de entrevistas a perfiles profesionales del sector, con el fin de acercar a un mayor público el arte contemporáneo, y de esta manera, hacerlo más accesible.

Nuestra intención, dada la situación de pandemia y distanciamiento social, es realizar estas entrevistas y reuniones de manera telemática, adaptándonos de esta manera a la situación, y haciéndolas accesibles para todo aquel interesado desde cualquier parte del planeta.

Por nuestra pantalla pasarán grandes profesionales, que tienen mucho que aportar y clarificar acerca de este sector misterioso, que nos ayudarán a conocer el arte desde sus entrañas, compartiendo sus experiencias personales y sus perspectivas acerca del sector.

Abogados, críticos de arte, artistas en activo, e incluso profesionales de otras ramas profesionales se sentarán junto a nuestra directora Ana Serratosa para hablar de su punto de vista, de cómo ha cambiado el mundo del arte a lo largo de este extraño año, de cómo es vivir dentro de este sector, y sobre todo, apuntando un punto de claridad y realidad al sector.

Para inaugurar esta nueva sección, contaremos con la colaboración de Jorge Martí, abogado y profesor de derecho responsable de inaugurar la sede del reputado bufete Uría Menéndez en Valencia. Este bufete, cuya sede principal se encuentra en Madrid, es conocido en el sector del arte por su gran aportación al sector desde sus inicios en 1980. Entre algunas de sus aportaciones cabe destacar destacar la recuperación para el Patrimonio Nacional Español del cuadro de Goya: “La Marquesa de Santa Cruz” en 1985, así como la representación del Estado Español en el asentamiento de la colección Thyssen-Bornemisza en España y de su negociación para su posterior compra.

Junto a él analizaremos como en el mundo del arte contemporáneo existe hueco para muchos profesionales, ya no solo para críticos de arte, artistas o coleccionistas, sino también para aquellos profesionales liberales como abogados o financieros que pueden contribuir en el sector con sus conocimientos y aportando valor desde nuevas perspectivas.

Cada una de las charlas irá acompañada de una ronda de preguntas del público a los participantes, ya que buscamos resolver cuantas dudas puedan surgir. Estas charlas se realizarán vía Teams y puedes inscribirte a la primera de ellas desde el siguiente enlace.

Durante los próximos meses iremos invitando a más perfiles a sentarse frente a nuestras pantallas, y esperamos poder contar con tu asistencia en cada una de ellas. Buscamos así poder acercar el arte contemporáneo a un mayor público, y de este modo, ampliar nuestro compromiso didáctico más allá de nuestra sala expositiva.

From the Gallery of contemporary art in Valencia Ana Serratosa, we are aware that art, and especially contemporary art, is difficult to access for a more general public, but if we concentrate on a younger audience, the distance is greater.

New generations have developed and grown, surrounded by technology, in a changing world, and increasingly distancing themselves from museums and exhibition halls. Why would I visit a museum when I can enjoy all the content that interests me from my mobile screen? Why would I look for inspiration in a gallery when I can do it in a much faster way from the tranquility of my computer?

This series of thoughts, coupled with the frenetic pace of today’s society, together with the elitism that is usually associated with culture, makes the new generations take more and more distance from the current artists, those who continue to bet on the galleries, and feel more comfortable following digital or musical artists from the comfort of a digital world created to their own taste.

That is why from the Ana Serratosa Gallery we have proposed to carry out a series of interviews to professional profiles of the sector, in order to bring more public contemporary art, and in this way, make it more accessible.

Our intention, given the situation of pandemic and social estrangement, is to conduct these interviews and meetings in a telematic way, adapting in this way to the situation, and making them accessible to everyone interested from anywhere in the planet.

Great professionals will pass through our screen, who have much to contribute and clarify about this mysterious sector, which will help us to know the art from their hearts, sharing their personal experiences and their perspectives about the sector.

Lawyers, art critics, active artists, and even professionals from other professional branches will sit next to our director Ana Serratosa to talk about her point of view, how the world of art has changed throughout this strange year, how it is to live within this sector, and above all, pointing a point of clarity and reality to the sector.

To inaugurate this new section, we will have the collaboration of Jorge Martí, lawyer and professor of law responsible for inaugurating the headquarters of the reputed law firm Uría Menéndez in Valencia. This firm, whose headquarters are in Madrid, is known in the art sector for its great contribution to the sector since its inception in 1980.
