Mari Ishikawa

Mari Ishikawa (1964, Kyoto, Japan. Based in Munich, Germany) studied art and design, but soon took her career to jewelry design.

The main concept of her work is to capture the essence of the landscapes that are created under the moonlight, so different from those we capture in broad daylight.

His jewelry revolves around the concept of parallel worlds, which are those created by humans through architecture and those in which nature survives. Worlds where human beings do without nature for their existence, forgetting that their intervention is only temporary and that it is nature that is reborn and persists.

Currently she also works as a professor at the Kobe University of Design, Japan and at the Hawk University of Applied Sciences and Art in Hildesheim, Germany.
