Alejandra Icaza's pictorial language expands on canvas and paper with a joyful rhythm and light, unconscious brushstrokes, as if the captured moment would exist forever. It is a creative act that comes from the spontaneity of the subconscious, opens up to dreams, and responds to the call of influences and the fantastic. So begins the account of the art critic and curator of this exhibition, Paloma Llopis. "Singer Song" is Alejandra Icaza's second exhibition at the Ana Serratosa Gallery. In this exhibition, the artist continues to show us that universe that only she seems to know (and that she wants to invite us to share), elevating colour to the category of narrator of a story that flows through painting. In Alejandra Icaza's work, the sea has always had a strong influence, but in this case, the inspiration for this exhibition comes from rural nature and floral motifs "whose forms are distorted by any resemblance to formal reality".
