Poesía de la materia

"It is curious to see the works of Marco Veronese and Alex Angy together, in an exhibition dialogue, because, at first sight, their poetics seem to be unrelated. However, in both artists there is, beyond the "symbolic", a concern for colour and for the seductive dimension of art". So begins the text of the exhibition led by the curator Fernando Castro, "Poesía de la materia", who explains the concern and interest of the two artists who, on this occasion, hang on the walls of the Ana Serratosa Gallery. As the curator rightly says, these two artists, with no apparent conceptual similarity between them, are visible proof that colour transcends any conventionalism and becomes a pretext to show and teach the quality of contemporary art. At the same time, not only colour, but also the disciplines learn to coexist in perfect harmony. "Poetry of matter", that is to say, any matter, any technique that can motivate the poetic contemplation of things.

TRAS LA CATASTROFE

TRAS LA CATASTROFE

FERNANDO CASTRO FLÓREZ

Putting the catastrophe as premise, Fernando Castro Florez tells us the relationship of the two artists that make up the exhibition: Marco Veronese and Alex Angi. "In principle, their poetics seem to have no relationship. However, in both artists there is, beyond the "symbolic", a concern for color and the seductive dimension of art.

Neither of the two pretends to gloat over the decorative, but, with important doses of irony, allegorizes our time and manifests critical positions. "
