Alejandro Corujeira
La pauta leve
"La pauta leve" is the name of the retrospective exhibition of the Argentinean painter and sculptor Alejandro Corujeira. This takes place in 2017 and includes paintings belonging to each of the three distinct stages of the artist's professional career. From his earliest works, marked by the geometry and sinuosity of the forms, to his latest work, endowed with a less predictable biomorphism, with subtle strokes that play and converse with the space that contains them. Coloured pencil, watercolour, graphite and acrylic paint come together in an exhibition that reflects on pictorial construction and composition. In it, works with evocative titles such as "Ocean", "Air" or "Light", make the spectator's gaze never stop, as the dynamism generated by the lines of the paintings make the painting a sensitive, delicate and liberating entity.
