Alfonso Albacete

El mar de la China

"Mar de la china" is an exhibition by Alfonso Albacete, who adapts the vision of nature from a zenithal point of view to the pictorial framework. In the words of Fernando Castro, the curator of this exhibition, "Albacete's pictorial landscape is permanently tense between figuration and abstraction, in the plen air gaze and the dissolution of the figurative motif in a kind of baroque abstraction such as he practised in the nineties". In addition to this renewed vision of plen air, Alfonso Albacete shows interest in pure colours, being, in most cases, a dialogue between two complementary colours. This makes the collection "Mar de la China" one of the most visual and impressive exhibitions of the Ana Serratosa Gallery.
