"Adoption Field" marks the return to Valencia of the German artist couple Venske & Spänle and their most representative works: The Smörfs. These are marble sculptures of curious, meticulously crafted forms, to which their creators attribute a distinctive personality, in the same way as a small pet. "Adoption Camp" is an opportunity to get hold of one of these friendly characters, who accompany us for a few weeks after a long journey around our planet, in which they have visited places such as New York, Berlin, Los Angeles, Sydney and Zurich.

Venske & Spänle

"Field of adoption", by the artists Venske & Spänle, supposes a mixture of techniques and the most traditional character of the sculpture, as it is the marble or the stone, combined with a different way as for the relation with the spectator.

These sculptures, which are endowed with a "living" character, connect with the public through playing and occupying the space, relating to everyone who observes them and their environment.
